Seb Bishop

In 2000 at the age of 26, Seb Bishop founded Espotting, the company that pioneered Pay-Per-Click Advertising and search marketing in the UK
He successfully expanded Espotting across Europe before merging the company with US based FindWhat.com in 2004 in a deal which valued the company at $186m. For 8 years Seb was President and CMO of MIVA (NASDAQ:MIVA), formerly Espotting/FindWhat.com, and in that time Pay-Per-Click Advertising has been the shining star of online advertising - Google entered the market in 2003 with their AdWords programme, and Yahoo! followed suit in 2004. Today, Seb is International CEO of (RED), working with companies such as Apple, Microsoft, Armani, Motorola and Gap, to create (RED) branded products, the profits from which are used to help fight Aids in Africa.
Seb has been the recipient of numerous personal accolades which recognise his achievements in the new media and advertising industries, including Campaign Magazine's ‘A List’ and ‘Faces to Watch,’ Media Week's ‘30 Under 30’ and Media & Marketing Europe's ‘40 Under 40.’ He was also a 2005 finalist of the London Stock Exchange sponsored ‘Technology Entrepreneur of the Year.’
Seb is an Internet and media visionary. He began working in advertising at the age of 14 at Yellowhammer during his summer holidays and at 19 joined Publicis as an art director. From Publicis he moved on to Rainey Kelly Campbell Rolfe and was part of the company when they successfully took over Y&R London. During his advertising agency years, Seb created the award-winning campaign that launched Coca-Cola in Russia as well as campaigns for some of the world's most famous brands including Virgin, Diet Coke, HP, Renault and Nintendo.
In addition to his position at (RED), Seb is also a non-executive director of Future plc (London Stock Exchange: FUTR), the international special interest media group; is Chairman of the board of Steak, one of the fastest growing digital marketing agencies; and is a non-executive board member of AdJug, a new Internet advertising marketplace. A leading UK entrepreneur, Seb provides angel funding and guidance to innovative digital start-ups and he is also involved in a Channel 4 project that looks at whether Western entrepreneurial skills can help bring sustainable relief from poverty to communities in Uganda.
