Jeff Bocan
Non-Executive Board Director
Jeff is a Managing Director at Beringea, a London and Los Angeles based venture capital firm focused on investing in rapidly growing companies in the media sector.
Jeff is head of Beringea's L.A. office and also sits on the board of seven of Beringea's portfolio companies: Shout! Factory, GetBack Media, Eagle Rock Entertainment, Starbridge Media, Coal Restaurants, Imagestate and Steak. During his time at Beringea, Jeff has led or co-led 15 investments in aggregate deal sizes of $125M.
Prior to joining Beringea in 2002, Jeff was an Associate at early stage technology VC firm, Saffron Hill Ventures in London. Before moving to London, Jeff worked in consumer marketing, for BMW of North America and a start-up beverage company, Honest Tea. During the Clinton Administration, he worked on Capitol Hill as a Lobbyist for the Sierra Club - an environmental organisation, focusing on pollution issues. Jeff gained an MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business Administration with high honors and also has a BA in Government and Sociology from the University of Notre Dame, graduating magma cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
